Christmas is always a much anticipated time of the year for me.
A time to let go of worries, stress and just be with your loved ones,be it family or friends......or even better, both.
A time to reconnect with all the people we inevitably lose touch with due to our hectic work schedule and daily worries.
A time also to be with yourself.Reconnect to your soul, your heart's desires.A place in your heart needs this stillness, the serenity to heal itself and reenergise for what's to come next.Forge the plans for the year to come and to prepare for the realisation of dreams and aspirations.
Let's not forget that Christmas is also a most advantageous opportunity to give. Not just the gifts we buy from the stores.Don't get me wrong- I do love a good present.Who after all doesn't? Let's not ,however, forget the most precious gifts of all. Those of the heart, those that spring forth from the kindness and gentleness of the soul. Those that say "I love you" but are not necessarily wrapped in colourful paper and red ribbons.Helping those in need.Charities are an admirable way to express unconditional love. Visit relatives or friends that need company during those festive days. A phonecall to loved ones who live abroad. A handwritten Christmas card.If one only sets his mind to it, the possibilities are endless. All it takes is love, imagination and a playful mood.
That's all for today. And to think I set out to write a short note.Talk about being verbose....Anyway, be well and have a fantastic day, with those two lovely songs to accompany you.
With love and light.
